The Navigator Freestyle's brush roll offers effective deep carpet cleaning. Please note that thick pile carpets may drain the battery more quickly than cleaning on a bare floor.

It picks up pretty good for a cordless. I got a lot of stuff from the carpet.

The vacuum has 2 speeds. 1(high) for carpets & 1(low) for all other surfaces. It did as good a job on my 5x8' carpet, as my upright plug in vac. If you have a lot of carpet, then you may want a plug in. Or, if you have a lot of carpeting & just want this for spills or quick small area pick-up, this vac would be perfect. The suction is really good.

It's great. Actually, I was so embarrassed about the amount of stuff it picked up, carpet and bare floors, the first two times I cleaned my house.

Very Very Good. Light weight to push/pull and goes from carpet to tile with a touch of the toe. I am disabled and needed a lightweight vacuum to keep a 2-cat, 1 bdrm apt clean daily. This was so good I couldn't believe it. Really. That good. (see my review)

It works great on plush and not so plush carpet as well as bare floors

Fabulous -- It sweeps very clean, but with the short charge time, you must hurry! I found I could vacuum one room and then had to wait for several hours for it to recharge.

I used it on throw rugs - it worked really good. It also worked great on the wood floors.

Horrible! This vacuum has very poor suction, I would not recommend it for carpets but for floors (crumbs, dust, and some hairs) it works decently. But for carpet you will be disappointed.

i just got mine today, i find it doesn&#39;t roll smooth on my area rugs at all but i mostly bought it for my hardwood and it seems fine for that. It is kind of awkward to move around, not as smooth turning as I thought it would be. My plan is to use it for a few days then decide if I&#39;m going to keep it. So far I&#39;m not 100% satisfied.

Smooth transition from hardwood to carpet, it maintains suction power on both.

I can vacuum my whole house before it loses its charge.

Mine was charged when I got it. I've vacuumed daily for about a week (2 avg. sized bedrooms and a fairly large living room) and haven't needed to charge it yet. I will soon, but I did that just because I wanted to know the answer to this question myself.

With a full charge it should run about 30+ minutes.

For me it holds a charge for a bare floor kitchen, 4 long rug runners, & 2 pretty thick rugs.
