Amazingly, this multi-purpose cart with lid will collapse to a mere three inches in height. This means you can take it just about anywhere you might need it without worrying about tripping over it when its not in use. When you are ready to use it, it opens in seconds. The cart lid doubles as a seat you can sit on if you're in line, and "triples" as a step stool that will support up to 250 pounds. Made of aluminum and heavy-duty plastic, the cart is durable enough to carry up to 80 pounds. The cart rolls around on two easy-glide wheels and features a collapsible handle for easy maneuvering.--Josh Dettweiler

Pros:
It's big enough - it holds a 3' binder, water bottle, portable file holder (like this: Sterilite? Portable File Box ), clipboard, plus some extra materials (up to 2" thick).
Lid closes - once I go the hang of it - the lid is very secure. Important for taking this out in the weather. The lid also plays a big part in the stability of the box. I'm not sure if I would be as happy if I was not using the lid. The other way to stabilize it is to use side pieces (hidden in bottom panel) on the side. They are a hassle to use as well as remove/replace.
Rugged - This poor thing gets banged around all the time: side of the wall, door closes on it, metal cabinet, etc. I can't imagine how other reviewers managed to break it. I do know I am far from gentle on mine and it has survived quite well.
Folds up small - it lives between the desk & the wall and is out of my way until I need it.
Easy wheeling - I haven't had any trouble - cement, asphalt, carpet, indoors or out. If I wasn't paying attention sometimes it would twist on me, but that is true of almost any wheeled thing (luggage, etc)
Cons:
Some of the hinge connectors fell out - if I found them I could put them back in and tape them in there. Some I lost. It is still workable, just not as good as it could be. If I lost 2-3 from the same hinge it would be a different story. This is a design flaw that should be corrected.
Putting the lid back to store the unit - it's a pain, you have to get it just right - it only goes on one way. I wish they had a better idea for this.
The stabilizing bars - hard to find them, hassle to get them out or put them back.
Bottom line - While it still has some life in it, I'm going to retire mine and get a new one. I will be happy to buy this exact type again.
I have arthritis, so picking up a laundry hamper & carrying it over to the washing machine, is not easy on my back or hips. So this is my laundry hamper, & I can pull it over to the washing machine. It fits nicely in the corner of my bathroom. I had a previous laundry hamper that had small wheels, but no handle so it was difficult to pull over the carpet to the other side of the house.
Second, for recycling, we have a tall, thinner regular kitchen waste basket (the kind with the swinging top), under an open section of our counter. This gets full of the typical recycling stuff (glass, cans, food boxes etc). But it also gets heavy, too heavy for me to carry (without back strain) to the big outside recycling container that goes by the street curb.
So I stick the tall, thin Kitchen recycling wastebasket in this Quik Cart, & it stays in the Quik Cart, under the counter. When the recycling kitchen container is full, I just pull out the Quik Cart handle, & pull it outside to the recycle garbage bin (over the backyard grass & cobblestones).
I have been doing this for a year, & have had no trouble with the Quik Cart. However, as the things I put into it, are taller than its sides, I dont use the cover.
